The portal leveraged modern web technologies to provide a fully web-based data view, accessing and processing information stored in the backend ERP application. Key features included periodic auto-fetching of selected data, intermediate data caching for faster access, and a RESTful web interface for displaying various entities. It also offered fully customizable data views, including the personalization of columns, with persistent settings for user preferences.
