User Management System (UMS)
Infrastructure team mutual fund client needed an application that will assist them with organizing their employees infrastructure, hardware, email, operating system and inventory details with all necessary approvals in place.
Features
As soon as a new employee joins this company its HR raises a ticket in UMS with necessary details. This request is then approved by that employees Reporting Manager. After RM approves this request goes to the department head for approval.
Once DH approves two triggers are generated.
- A request to infrastructure team is triggered to provide the necessary infrastructure and hardware.
- A second request is sent to various application heads to provide logins and passwords for requested applications.
A multi level request raising and approval mechanism is built into this application to cover as long as 6 level hierarchy.
Any changes in an employee's infrastructure, hardware, application access, inventory will get recorded into this application right from his induction, to his transfer and till his exit are stored in UMS.
UMS is a thin client based solution used by 10+ workstations across India and is developed using ASP.Net 3.0, SQL Server 2005, AJAX, JQuery, and SSRS.
